These days it not only gets passed through but even gets given back! AVATAR - Tara, Dain, Camilla, Lyla and Steve Fataar - are family members who love to push the musical boundaries with their diverse style.
Avatar are a Durban Based band, the oldest and youngest members (dad and daughter) are 66yrs and 12 yrs respectively. The band comprise of family members Camilla (vocals and backing vocals) , Lyla (keyboards), Dain (beatbox), Tara (vocals and keyboard) and Steve Fataar (guitar and vocals) together with good friend, Mthunzi Mchunu (bass guitar). They have just returned from Splashy Fen, where they performed the closing ceremony of the festival (Main stage, pictured above), where the crowd wouldnt let them leave the stage.
